Built-in Stitches

The eXplore 120 features simple zig-zag stitches, tricot, triple stitch, blind hem, overedge, and decorative stitches to successfully sew on a variety of fabrics. Also included is one 4-step buttonhole that will allow you to create neat, consistent buttonholes. The easy-access stitch chart displayed on the machine saves time from searching your manual for the perfect stitch selection.

Pattern Selection Dial | Stitch Length Dial

Along the front of the machine are two dials that enable you to choose your pattern selection and stitch length. These dials are easily adjusted to create perfectly balanced stitches based on your fabric type and weight. Refer to your manual for recommended stitch length ranges for specific stitch patterns.

Presser Foot Lifter

The Elna eXplore 120 is equipped with a presser foot lifter that raises the presser foot 1 4 (0.6 cm) higher than the normal up position. Making way for easy removal of the snap-on feet and accommodating layered or thicker fabric underneath the foot.

Thread Tension Dial

The thread tension is adjusted depending on the sewing material, layers of fabric, and sewing technique. The ideal tension setting for most fabrics and threads is between 3 and 5. When adjusting needle thread tension, the higher the number, the tighter the needle thread. If your thread tension is too loose or too tight, try making slight adjustments with the thread tension dial.

Reverse Lever

Use the reverse stitch lever to secure your stitches. Whether you have multiple layers or just regular stitches that you want to keep safe, the reverse stitch helps keep your ends from fraying or unraveling. Hold down the reverse stitch lever, and your machine will sew in reverse, reinforcing your stitches.

Push Pull Bobbin Winder

Keep multiple filled bobbins on hand so you have the perfect thread color for every project! Push the bobbin winder to the appropriate spot on the eXplore 120, where it then locks in, and then use your foot control to wind the bobbin. When the bobbin is filled, pull it off, and it s ready to go.

Accessory Storage | Free Arm

The extension table provides more sewing space and doubles as accessory storage for items like bobbins, extra presser feet, a seam ripper, needles, a darning plate, etc. It can also easily be removed to enjoy the convenience of free arm sewing on the Elna eXplore 120. Free arm sewing is perfect for pant legs, sleeves, and waistbands, making tubular projects more accessible.

Easy Snap-on Presser Feet

Quickly go from one foot to another on the eXplore 120. This machine features snap-on presser feet that allow you to exchange your zig-zag foot for your buttonhole foot without ever reaching for a screwdriver!

25-Year Limited Warranty

Elna will ensure your machine s performance for 25 years from when the machine is purchased. Coverage is limited to repair or necessary replacement of parts caused by defects in quality and materials. Faults in electrical components will be for five years. One year of free labor by an Authorized Elna Retailer is included, usually by the dealership where you purchased your machine.
