It has a transparent cap that protects it when not in use and a fine, sharp blade with a safety ball to safeguard the material. The handle s top has ridges that improve grip and control while you work. It also includes three G3-A batteries. Please note that the first time you use the Lighted Seam Ripper, you will need to open the battery cover to remove the white tab.
