Description

Schmetz 705 DE Double Eye Needles have two eyes that allow unique dual-thread decorative sewing. The universal needlepoint enables sewing on both woven and knit fabrics. They are used for embroidery and topstitching with decorative threads to produce decorative seams. Two different threads can be used for shading and texturing effects. Schmetz 705 DE Double Eye Needles work in machines that use the 130 705H system needles.

Most Schmetz Needles include two color-coded bands just below the shank. The top color indicates the type of needle, and the lower color indicates the size. The Schmetz Double Eye Needles do not have a color code. Schmetz 705 DE Double Eye Needles is a pack of five needles in a plastic case that slides shut for safe storage. The needle system, needle type, and needle size are printed on the front of the case.

How it works:

Insert the needle into the needle bar as far as it will go.

The two thread spools should unwind in opposite directions to prevent tangling. (One spool should unwind to the left and the other to the right.)

Thread the machine as normal, being sure to use separate needle thread guides for each of the threads.

Note*: To prevent machine and needle damage, turn the handwheel carefully to make the first few stitches.

At first, set the stitch at the smallest width and gradually increase.

You can manually lower the needle if the upper thread is not picking up the bobbin thread (less than 1mm).

If, after adjusting the needle position, the bobbin thread is still not picking up, the adjustment of the machine should be checked.
